Middle School
Middle School can be a very stressful time as students mature and prepare for High School. Many middle-schoolers take one or more High School credits. Understanding how these choices will affect their High School GPA and their Future Story can be extreamly confusing. As an educational consultant, I research the options and help parents, along with their children make the best educational choices to achieve their Future Story.
High School
Selecting the high school path that best suits their child's needs and maximizes their future opportunities can be dreadfully complicated. Many times I've heard, "I wish I had known more when my child started 9th grade". No student should be blindsided their senior year by uncovering vital information that could have made a huge difference in their transition to college. As an educational consultant, I am free to explore and help families identify the most advantageous high school options for their student.
Military, College, or Trade School Admissions
Not all young adults are ready for college straight out of high school, and that’s OK. I will help students discover the greatest path to their amazing Future Story. Whatever they decide, I will provide guidance, options, and walk them through the entire process, step-by-step. I have a passion for helping students identify their interests, explore their educational and financial options, and create a plan that will propel students towards a successful Future Story.
Homeschool/Virtual School
Families who choose to homeschool face challenges that require special attention. These students have had a tremendous opportunity to create a unique educational path that supports family values and to optimize time for the development of particular talents while completing rigorous coursework, independent projects, and extensive research. As an educational consultant, I partner with families to fine-tune documentation of high school credits and to assist in pursuing their Future Story.
Families that choose to learn from home or whose schools have not opened back up for face to face instruction yet face a multitude of challenges. Balancing school, home, and work can be very difficult. I am available to help with both technical issues and educational issues.
Young Adults
It's never too late to change the direction in which you are headed. Young adults have an array of opportunities afforded them, but often do not know how to access them. By assisting them in becoming more aware of their strengths, interests and uniqueness, they will be better equipped to identify those opportunities. The support I provide to young adults while sorting through their academic records, hobbies, work, and volunteer experiences, enables them the confidence necessary in developing their "new" Future Story.
Learning Disabilities
Whether your child has a 504 or an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), I can help you understand your rights and options once they leave High School. All too often, students with learning differences and disabilities are not given adequate or accurate information regarding the variety of academic and social supports available which positively impact the student's school performance in addition to their quality of life. As an educational consultant, I believe all students can reach their full potential with a little help and guidance.
